With regard to the dress code at Tri-State Business Institute, we the student body feel that what we should have more options as to what we can wear during our academic pursuits here. As students we understand that the dress code is only to better prepare us for the "Real World", however to allow us to feel comfortable in our learning environment, we should feel comfortable in our daily attire. We also understand that our dress should be within reason; ripped or torn clothing, length of skirts/shorts, tight clothing, shirts with drug/pornographic material etc., or anything that our adult minds could understand as inappropriate for an academic environment should not be allowed on campus. However, the majority of us are within maturity levels to understand what is appropriate, and it should not be up to the school to limit us to our daily wardrobe. A dress code is almost an insult to our capabilities as young adults to discern from what is proper or not for daily conduct in our education. Again, we do not wish to eliminate the dress code, just amend it, within reason, for our personal comfort.
