This is ridiculous and you're putting teachers lives at risk!

As a former employee, I’m very disappointed in the lack of flexibility the district has shown.

Please take care of the teachers! They are just as important and should stay home too!

Teachers should be given the choice to stay home while working remotely.

It would behoove the district to consider the needs of staff members. Some staff may be at a higher risk for getting COVID-19, while others may have children of their own that are learning virtually. Please keep everyone safe and do what's right.

Our teachers have always supported us. Now, it’s time to show our support for them and trust in them. Listen to and protect them. Allow what’s best for everyone safety and health. Teaching remotely to protect everyone health the first time will prevent a greater consequence in the long run. Do things right the first time and do what’s best for teachers and students ❤️

You’ll save money on electricity and payment for teachers’ children’s child care.

As a parent of C/A Alumni, I have much love and respect for the C/A teachers and believe they deserve to be treated with love and respect. They should have the option to work remotely without consequence.

As an educator in Washington state, I hate to see my friends having to put their lives at risk, for what? We are teaching from home out here because we are in a pandemic. Teachers should be able to work from home in this pandemic. Forcing teachers to work in a school building during a pandemic, when they could do all their job duties from home, is negligent, cruel and it is morally wrong.

If students can learn from home than the teachers can teach from home!!! This year has been rough from them as it is. Just let them stay home!

Whether intentional or not, the in-person mandate has a punitive effect. When every other profession which can be conducted remotely is conducted remotely you have to ask yourself the purpose of a policy otherwise. In fact, studies show people working from home are more productive - this information is readily available with a cursory google search.

If there are no teachers, there is no education for your children.

Teachers should have choice! We are educated individuals. It is also against many executive orders from the governors office to require in person work during this pandemic.

Letting teachers choose where to work and providing childcare while you’re fully online shows trust and treats teachers like the professionals they are. If they don’t perform well while working at home, you can address performance issues. Also good for recruiting and retaining teachers!

Interestingly, the board meeting will be virtual but teachers must be present in empty classrooms to teach. That sounds like a double standard to me.

It's not safe to open schools. We need to keep all students and staff safe!
