Next time the entire town of Kirksville is covered in ice, please at least have enough sense to take action and notify students about it BEFORE any of them have classes.

The first email I received this morning was my professor calling off class because her car was stuck in a ditch. It’s not only the wellness of the students but also our educators.

I fell on the walk home from a class, it would be nice if Truman cared about the well-being of their students.

I was too scared to go to class after I fell outside by my car and I had several friends say that they also fell today (2/21/18)

This has been a glaring problem since I started there in 2012. If schools in Chicago would have called a snow day, Truman should too.

It would be cool to see Truman try to support their students in literally any way.

We shouldn't have to risk our health to get to class when it's treacherous.

If I can't even drive to campus without being in fear of getting in a wreck from the ice, school should be cancelled.

Truman's sheer lack of appropriate responses to major incidences needs to be evaluated. The administration needs to be held responsible. Although this is just dangerous weather, other tragedies have affected the student body recently and Truman's response has been underwhelming at best.

I fell today trying to get to class because my teachers refuse to cancel class and have strict attendance policies. Unacceptable.

so sick of the university not considering the well being of the students. if you really want to have class, pay your grounds employees to treat sidewalks BEFORE school hours. at 7:30 am there was absolutely NO treatment done. it’s ridiculous

It’s crazy how a school that prides themselves on caring about the well-being of their students didn’t cancel classes when the other university in town and the high school are closed. We shouldn’t have to risk injury just to make it to a class.

I was a student and had a few days like this. Students should not be in danger because the school can’t cancel or postpone classes
