I have a niece that attends Truman and I recommend Truman to several friends. I would like to think safety is a concern during winter weather.

Honestly, walking out in this weather is terrifying and I didn't want to leave my dorm, but I knew if I didn't, it could hurt my grade. All the schools in our area got off, even ATSTILL and The community college.

It feels so wonderful to know that my school doesn’t care about my safety or mental health!

Safety first, always!! Technology is a blessing, use it to make up for lectures cancelled. Risking your health, along with students is not worth it.

Even though you say “you shouldn’t come to class if you feel unsafe” you’re not really helping because obviously we’re still going to go because we’re truman students who care about our grades!! You guys should care about our safety.

As one of the many students who took a brutal fall today (down a small landing of stairs entirely on my back might I add) and was still expected to make it to class, I wholeheartedly agree with this petition. No class is worth your health or risk of injury, whether it be mental, physical, or both.
This should not be a issue, and yet here we are
This is very true
