Local man Richard Nightingale has been trying for a number of years to get the North Somerset District Council to grant him permission to rebuild the Tropicana but to date has no had their support.
We are now told that the public cannot have their say about which plans they prefer because of some European Union rule. No doubt this rule will please those in North Somerset Council who think they know best about everything.

Ridiculous that we aren't allowed to vote on this. It has been an eyesore for way to long.
The council never listens to anyone in this town. It is our home and we should get to choose what happens to the Tropicana.
Bring back the life to the seafront. Don't let them blame eu rules for their own lazy decisions.
Weston is going downhill so fast. Rebuild it already and let the people decide what we want!
Leave it to the council to ruin everything. Just let us have a proper say for once.

Total incompetence from the council as usual. Tired of them ignoring our views.
