some rewiews are just bullshit and there is no way to delete them.
i don't want tripadviser and i don't need tripadviser for my business. but i'm forced to work with them.

I closed the doors to my first business over 8 months ago but my cafe/restaurant/bar is still receiving reviews on Tripadvisor. Work that one out?! And the stupid thing is, us that I still take all these 'new reviews' as personally as I used too!

Trip Advisor, well anyone and their dog can post a review without even stepping foot in our property. A Current Affair has just done a story on us based on trip advisor reviews. and some clients have posted multiple reviews on us with different fake emails.

I have spent 5 years telling trip advisor why they are wrong even Resorts that are not even within 30 miles as the crow fly's of Huntington Lake but still they won't remove these lies and slanderous actions!!

The good news is: Travel companies only survive long term on trust. Tripadvisor's don't care policy is doomed to fail worlwide.
The bad news is: this might take a while.

Someone should take legal action and stop tripadvisor. Anyone can go and write anything and tripadvisor does not remove any reviews. One should have the right on they property enough to be given a chance to remove from the listing from trip advisor and not wait to close the business. This is a bullshit site.

I have a small guesthouse accommodation. We have a 3 Star business and many people don`t do there research and expect 4-5 Star.
Example: Couple of ladies book in on Saturday night, they walk in early 2 hrs before check-in and I say `Sorry, your room is not ready yet,could you come back in a hour?` They say `ok` and leave, `2 hrs later they ring and say there not staying and have found alternative accommodation. I say, ok, but we will have to charge you for the room? They were very upset but I couldn't` resell the room with `no` notice given.
Anyway, 3 days later I get 2 very nasty trip advisor reviews saying `terrible smelly etc` The ladies did not see a room!? Trip Advisor said `we cannot remove there reviews because they walked into your business!?`
As a small family run business we cannot do anything about such `lies!`
It`s very disheartening to work so hard and be treated like we`re in the wrong...

Here is a letter sent by us to Trip Advisor. It tells its own story.
Dear Sir/Madam
RE. No.1 Manvers Street
This is the second time that Trip Advisor have posted a review from someone who has neither stayed with us, nor booked with us. The writer of the review ‘Terrible' (Dan ‘O’) has never, according to our records, even been in contact with us.
We are also listed on Flip Key and they take the precaution of checking beforehand that the person who claims to have been a guest has actually stayed. They give the proprietor of the property in question 5 days to reply. We know this as we recently received an excellent review on their site for our property Friary Coach House which has 5 AA star rating.
The guest who posted the most recent review claims we are an ‘hotel’ and to have met us in referring to us as ‘the people’. We are self-catering apartments and the guests let themselves in with a coded system and Masterkey. We seldom meet them, yet he infers strongly that he has met us. We certainly did not have any guest from the US in September, even if this is an alias. He refers to ‘this place’ in general terms and it is quite clear, from his lack of description, that he has not visited.
This review was posted without reference to any proper protocol regarding defamation, in a careless and highly libellous manner. We refute every aspect of its content. Please remove both reviews or we will be consulting our lawyers.
