International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day October 7th!

I have a sister who suffers daily with this and I agree that it needs to be added to the list of health topics to be discussed! Knowledge is POWER!!!!

We need a tv ad so people know we are out there with no cure. Magazines even!

Awareness needed

I have had TN now for 9 years and it is sadly, life changing! Knowledge of TN is very low across the whole spectrum of the population, and this includes doctors and dentists. Training time at medical school on TN verges on zero. Anything which raises awareness can only help. If the WHO would list it, that would help sufferer's across the globe. Last year's TN Awareness Day got the ball rolling, hopefully this year it will gain momentum.

Please put Trigeminal Neuralgia on "Health Topics" list. So many have this awful disease and we need to have this made known to everyone that it is real and not made up. I have suffered from this since 2008 and I have increased my meds many times. It is something I suffer and also my family. I can't work because the sharp electrics shocks can attack at any time. No boss is going to believe about my illness. I am tired and people need to know it is real. Thank you, Nancy Kurtz

My uncle has suffered with TN for a long time, and a surgury may cause some harmful side effect. People should pay more attention to this disease and a more suitable treatment should be discovered!

My daughter has this horrible disease and it is heart breaking to know she is in excruciating pain and there is nothing to do to help her. I just attended the TNA conference in Indiana and it was so informative.

I've suffered from trigeminal neuralgia since a dentist pulled an infected absceed tooth. The trauma of have this extraction was done may have damaged my nerve cause I've experienced nothing but burning,stabbing, excruciating pain since 2007. Another oral surgeon told me the name of pain I was experiencing and that I should see a neurologist. The pain hasn't stopped yet and I praying it will soon!

My wife has recently been diagnosed with TN. It is terrible to see her suffer so much. I was not aware that this condition existed. I truly hope that more investigation can be made available to find a solution for my wife and all the other sufferers in the world. Kind regards.
