I have had trigeminal neuralgia for nearly five years (I am now 22.) It does not just affect older people as is commonly implied. It is a truly terrible condition and deserves proper recognition!

I am suffering with this horrid disease as I type these comments. It is difficult to explain to others what it is and how painful it is. Awareness and research are needed so that better treatment can be provided instead of the bandaid types available now.

TN is such a painful disease , our grandson has suffered with it for several years . He has undergone numerous surgeries to help correct the problem and through it all it all the TN caused many other painful problems . He was laughed at and humiliated by doctors that did not acknowledge TN or understand it at all and was told his problems were physic logical ! No one especially a child should have to go through such Pain and Humiliation !! Please there needs to be More Awareness and Medical Education for Trigeminal Neuralgia - this is a issue that CAN NOT WAIT !! People look at you and when you explain TN - really well there is medicine to help right - they Do Not understand the severity of this disease or the Pain it causes !!! You can not even go out side or go forward with your life , brush your teeth , eat , and the least of CN NOTS GO ON AND ON !! PLEASE ADD TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA TO THE TOP OF HEALTH TOPICS !! Thank you - Sincerely Linda H. Drumm

A rare condition that is more prevalent in older women... I must be lucky then as 55 year male! Trigeminal Neuralgia, it's plain vicious. I'm have put together a website that hopefully will offer somewhere to retreat to without doom gloom and despondency. We may have the "suicide disease" but we are determined to live. www.giantmousehq.com Take care all.

I have had TN for 12 years now. I have been lucky in that I was diagnosed within the first month, and medications had kept me pain free for almost 11 years. I am now considering brain surgery.

Hello! I am Angela and I am 36 years old. I am suffering this horrible disease for 4 months and it is terrible. I am from Spain and Doctors only give me moré and moré pills. I would like to know more about TN to find a good solution. Thank you very much.
