It took 3 years - 6 Doctors - 2 teeth - and several thousand $$ before I got a proper diagnosis by a 'Caring' VA doctor . This needs to come to the attention of all Dentists - ENTs - and GPs , stop the pain and stop the wasted efforts of sufferers to get the help they need.

I would like a for sure alternative to Tegretol, which scares me because of the affect it has to n your liver. Is surgery an option?

This is real. I suffer and survive everyday from Type 2 TN. The medical world needs to be made aware and to not treat us as crazy or unbelievable when we come to them for help.

My dad has TN and thankfully he did not have to go through some of the major dental procedures others have forgone. He has tried the steroid injection which has not worked and due to it being "experimental" insurance did not help with any of it.
