With the unofficial name "Suicide Disease" what more needs to be said. When people see suicide as the only way to stop the pain a whole lot more needs to be done to understand and treat the sufferers with care and dignity. This is a dibilitating disorder that is debilitating and insufficiently understood by the general medical profession. When nurses tell sufferers that they are drug addicts and refuse adequate care, then it is time for better training, education and research.

6 years living with chronic Trigeminal Neuropathic Pain after an oral surgeons mistake during jaw surgery. Multiple procedures done and multiple medications tried but to no avail now I’m living on pain meds for what is likely the rest of my life. I have a wife and two children that I’m the sole provider for, I’m drowning in medical debt and if nothing changes soon my family will end up losing everything I have worked so hard to give them. Thank you for the work being done here, it is beyond appreciated.

I have been a TN sufferer for 23 years. I had an MVD which caused me to lose my hearing on my left side due to the doctor nicking my hearing nerve. The pain was back 6 months later. I then had 2 Gamma Knife surgeries a year apart then a Cyber Knife surgery which FINALLY numbed my face so there isn't any pain. PLEASE make this awful illness known to people who have no idea what it is. Maybe they'll understand a little better if they see someone's face contorting in ways it shouldn't, or someone rubbing their face really hard to try to massage away the pain. Sending hugs and prayers to all of my TN warriors.

I have lived with this for 10 years. I hope that someday people will understand more that just because we laugh one minute and on the floor a few minutes later, this is real. Very real.

I have been suffering for the last 5 years and it gets worse by the year. Always constantly trying different things . 3 days ago went to dentist to try out a mould he made to put on teeth at night and sleep. I hope this helps.
