Something needs to be done about this

Somebody has to be responable for this and get it attended to before it takes more lives! No one should have to live in danger - this is America! Please Respect property and LIVES now!

My mother worked at that factory for 26 years, and passed away of Alzheimers, which does not run in our family. I believe the TCE was a definite factor

While it can still be managed, if that is the case, please control the situation before we are a clone of Flint, Michigan. I suppose I should be happy my child is grown and gone and not subject to these effects. That just leaves me with MS and worsening symptoms. I happen to be a resident on Mulberry Lane not far from the Modine plant that is closed.

My daughter Katrina Cusick, her boyfriend Fred Holloway and their 4-year old daughter Willow live on Forest Way in Camdenton, MO. Forest Way is located in between the old Modine plant and the lagoon that was closed due to contamination by TCE, which was used extensively at Modine. At this point, no one is taking responsibility for the proper soil and water testing, the responsibility for the contamination itself or any cleanup or other action that needs to take place. The people of Camdenton have been put in harms way for far too long already. Something needs to be done now to stop this.

A water reading printout of the chemical level readings would suffice for myself and I believe, many others.

I agree,not nearly enough has been done.You can't contaminate ,n walk away.They need to be held responsible for their actions.Too much sickness n death.

My mom worked at Dawson, then Sunstrand and then Modine. She worked 35+ years there trying to raise 2 children on her own. She retired from there and thought she'd have a good retirement but no. Wasn't long after she retired that she got the bad news! Cancer! They said she had 2-3 years. She only got 2! After countless chemo and radiation appointments and the drugs to keep the swelling down in her brain where the cancer traveled to. There were so many of her friends that she worked with for many years there that have also lost their lives to Cancer. The rest are dealing with many health problems. Someone has got to hold them accountable!!

My grandmother, mom and dad all worked at Modine. My mom and dad shortly while it was Sunstrand. My grandmother worked there for more than 20 years. I read a comment here saying the ballfields and city park used to be a dump area for Modine and this brings up new concerns for me as i played A LOT of softball there from the time I was a small child until I graduated high school and even after.

My pregnant niece lives there. Please take this seriously!

I grew up at the plant my dad worked at, I was in and it's that plant, my father died of cancer back in 1995 he also received a pension from there, we lived most of my life in our home in the gully down off of Hwy 5 and Benne Blvd, back way was off of Dawson's road, we owned land in that downhill both sides of Dawson's road, we played in the Creeks back in there drinking that water, I had 3 kids while being pregnant living there, all my children were born with health issues, all of us that lived there have different autoimmune /neurological with different illnesses, and still getting diagnosises done ... My son was in kidney failure at age 21 just got a kidney transplant, my brother 2 years older than me has dialysis 3 times a week, we've got or had several different health issues ... I was born with ear/birth defects requiring surgery twice by age 6 damaging my hearing ... We were always sick with some type of illnesses growing up

My husband worked from 1984 to 2012 to when Modine closed. He worked in Maintenance.

The contamination has caused so many health problems for many of the people living in the community. I am terribly sorry to hear about your mother. TCE is such an awful substance and the way the contamination has been and is being handled is horrific! The best way to take action is to spread the word. Keep voicing your concerns until they are heard and don't stop. Don't be shy about it. Attend all the town hall meetings that you can and don't be afraid to ask questions when things don't sound right. Don't accept canned responses. Keep asking until you are satisfied. The more vocal and persistent you are the more helpful you will be to those who are affected. Please share this petition to your friends and in the groups you are apart of. I lived at 228 Sunset Dr. for almost 20 years. My mom is dying of a rare lung disease...that is caused by environmental factors. Please let me know how I can help.

I worked at SunStrand in the 70's I have also lived on Forestway DR which is right down the hill so yes that area should be tested as well. Wondering now if that is what caused my bout with cancer
