Most underrated Disney film of all time.

Been waiting 22 years it should have already been made like seriously wtf Disney yes it flopped in the box office it didn’t help that parents didn’t see it as a worthy family movie to go and see back in 2002 so a lot of us had to wait till it came out on vhs to watch it so executives never new just how popular the movie actually was

I just learned Treasure Planet 2 was SO close to being green-lighted; its story held - and STILL holds - solid potential to be even better than the excellent Treasure Planet that preceded it! Please Disney, revitalize this movie and script with the original directors, it's a literal goldmine that could still jumpspark an entirely new Treasure Planet show afterward. This is a brilliant aesthetic and refreshing branch-off akin to Buzz Lightyear of Star Command to Toy Story, and seeing Jim Hawkins, Katherine Blake, Ironbeard and Admiral Blake would be a perfect boon! Regrettably with Bill Murray's passing, we may or may not have Silver, which is all the more painful at the cancellation of this project when it was sitting hot and still holds potential, even if Silver is rewritten out or revoiced ALA Blackbeard's actor in One Piece. In short, please revitalize the original Treasure Planet 2 script - it is brilliant and deserves another chance!

This film is very important to me and I would really like to see Jim Hawkins on a movie screen. I was always a bit like Jim, a happy child and currently a rebellious teenager and I think we all need an adventure to mature, and we get to see how Jim is "lost" and in the end he grabs his dreams and this message is very important nowadays because people forget their dreams and this unfair film manages to show that and the film also manages to talk about family problems and showing how Jim feels and I think this is a very important point of the film. But if our efforts are in vain, the memory of our favorite pirate Jim Hawkin will not be forgotten because this adventure will never be forgotten because it will always be in our childhoods and in our memories and we will not give up on this dream of a second film because if One thing Jim Hawkin taught us is that we can't give up on our dreams no matter the storm

Dont let this amazing movie stay dead in the water. The first was unjustly held back to be put up against Harry Potter in theatres. Let the sequel have a fair chance.

After rewatching Treasure Planet a bajillion times I can't help but wish it had been continued. Here's to hoping Treasure Planet 2's storyboard comes to life.
