• All day pre-kindergarten for all students on a sliding scale
• No school closures-We support neighborhood schools!
• Minimize staff cuts, especially those closest to teaching and learning (in
general, we support Education Austin’s proposals for staffing
recommendations)
Closing the Budget Gap
• Cuts to central administration first: both staffing and facilities
• Spend down the district fund balance as much as possible
• Give some discretion to local campuses if cuts must be made at schools
• If necessary, consider a tax rate election, if it goes to fund the above priorities

Keep our schools open. My kids walk to class and it keeps the neighborhood together. Stop cutting the teachers who actually do the work.

CUT THE WASTE AT DISTRICT OFFICE FIRST. we need to keep our neighborhood schools running and stop touching the classrooms. this is common sense.
