If Merton Council weren’t spending millions on ridiculous wheelie bins that hardly anybody wants and won’t improve recycling figures there would be no financial imolications !

Please stop them from camping out on these beautiful public spaces and causing it to be just a rubbish dump where nobody feels comfortable going anymore.

No one is allowed to park up there. Even though sometimes it would be useful (we could in the past) no doubt if we did, the council would be there dishing out fines. So yes to do whatever to stop these guys ruining the common and making ordinary people uncomfortable going through it. It is not a rubbish tip.

18.9.18 The number of vans on Cannon Hill Common has now grown and unless action is taken very soon, an encampment will be hard to shift.

No excuse not to, given the increasing number of Traveller incursions into our green spaces, so vital to good quality of life and health. Who matters more? Merton council tax paying residents or the travellers?

Totally in favour of banning such irresponsible people from being able to set up camp at my expense.
When is the law going to be changed so these types of incursion can be stopped straight away, instead of waiting days or weeks.

As a tax payer and law abider, I believe all persons in the U.K. should not take advantage of open spaces and moor caravans in official spaces.

It is about time the law abiding citizens and our green spaces were afforded more protection by the law than the travellers who defile our borough and leave us to pay the bills to clean up after them.
