I know we all LOVE Saraland City School System, and we are all excited about the top-of-the-line facilities and safety measures taken for the new Saraland Early Education Center!
HOWEVER...
The addition of the new school has brought about some transportation issues, especially for working parents who must leave home before a bus has reached their neighborhoods.
As we all know, most people do not work in Saraland. We commute to Mobile. If you have children at both Saraland Elementary School and Saraland Early Education Center, dropping children off and getting to work in Mobile by 8:00 a.m. is going to be impossible.
Consequently, we would like to propose a simple solution that would help these families tremendously.
Our Proposal: Parents of students at both the elementary school and EEC could drop their children off at one location, the elementary school (since this school starts earlier in the morning). Once a bus has completed its route to the elementary school, it could take the group of EEC students directly to the new school.
Please, sign this petition and SHARE with your friends. Even if this does not affect you directly, if you understand the need for this solution, please help us spread our message.
**Disclaimer: We do realize that not all solutions are as simple as they may originally seem. Even if this particular solution is not perfect, the main goal of this petition is to make the school system aware of the needs of many working families.
I have one that will be attending the EEC and one at SMS. I have to be at work by 7:00. No problem for my middle school child, his bus runs early. However, the EEC is in the opposite direction of my house and job in Mobile. Hopefully, the school board can come up with a solution for this situation or maybe a few Church daycares can offer a shuttle to and from (I would be ok with paying for that). Either way, still proud to be a Spartan!!!
