Transients - Tweakers - Trouble Makers

Our area has become dirty, dangerous and simply unsafe. The rest of the country isn't like this - why are our elected officials allowing - even ENCOURAGING - this here?

In addition to the increase of transients in Chatsworth, I have also seen many many more motor homes. There is several on Devonshire St and also Topanga Blvd. They are so big and they are living in them. one of them now has a boat attached to it and just keeps moving it every 3 days. Its just like graffiti, if we don't stop it , it will get out of hand.

I've personally seen transients pooping and peeing in public here in Chatsworth and at the Chatsworth Train / Bus station. The entire community is over run by careless, homeless, drug users, and vehicle dwellers. This is putting all of us, kids and animals included, at a health risk and danger. Crime stats are up since the homeless have invaded Chatsworth, CA 91311. How will you feel if an innocent little child playing on the park grass gets stuck or stabbed by a "dirty"needle that a homeless drug abuser/addict threw out? The needles are there peple!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a Chatsworth , CA 91311 resident/home owner since 1983. We are in a dire situation with quality of life and health of the community. I am a community volunteer in multiple ways. I walk every day on the streets & in the parks and pick up scattered litter, trash, dirty clothes, used drug items, tampons, condoms, etc. You name it, I pick it up. This never used to be this big of problem until the homeless invaded Chatsworth and the Chatworth Train Station and Orange Bus line expanded here. We also have a major problem with vehicle dwellers, many of which violate LAMC 85.02. You, the government, seem to have no respect for us hard working, law abiding Chatsworth citizens. We also have a huge problem with homeless living in Chatsworth Park North (and south) and in the Santa Susana State Historic Park in Chatsworth. They are starting fires, littering, smoking in a fire hazard area, graffiti, etc. Please restore our quality of life. I've personally offered literature to homeless for free resources, and so far.....not one of them has said "I'll try." Verified homeless US Vets are the ones that we need to help ASAP. They served our country, and if they won't help themselves, they (and all others) need to be forced into treatment and taken off of Chatsworth streets.

Please help save our community be listening to those most affected.

Time to do something. Tax paying, law abiding citizens should have some rights too but apparently our state politicians don’t think so.

It is time to take action in supporting the law abiding, tax paying and voting citizens of the West Valley. The transients and drug addicts have more rights and protections than we do.

Do something about this situation and get these people off our streets and neighborhoods!

Please take our concerns seriously as the valley is becoming a filthy drug encampment of people who are threatening in nature and ruining our businesses and public parks.

I grew up in this area, because of all the drugs and dirty needles on the ground is why I left. I can't believe that something that's considered illegal is open on the streets like this because of lazy police officers, or dirty cops. Get this cleaned up

I know so many people live on the streets but every where in the valley every thing is so dirty and just nasty. Something needs to happen to get it back to the way it was! I hope someone will figuare out what to do

Please stop this nonsense. Our politicians used to promise us clean streets and safety for our families. Help.

Everywhere you go now is over run with blithe. Trash, abandoned belongings, waste, drug paraphernalia, needles found daily and things I won't list here. Panhandlers on every major intersection , off ramps and in front of businesses as well as in the middle of the streets . Children walking to school have to step over or around those asleep or passed out on the sidewalks. Women have to be in fear of being followed or their purse snatched and yes even men are targets for theft. Our elderly are at high risk for being taken advantage of or contacting diseases from others handling food or spreading germs all over the counters . Irate drug users and or homeless throwing things at cars , pedestrians and people inside businesses . A homeless , mentally ill female spat on a person as well as assaulted and attacked a person with a squeegee yet no arrest was made. We need help out here as it's getting worse by the day . Take a drive up and down the streets of the Valley and see what's really going on . Go by some of the parks and up a few alley ways . It's not pretty and it's far from safe or healthy. We need action.

We need laws on the books which give police the authority needed to take back our streets. Addicts and thieves are presently allowed to live on the street and rob citizens and businesses to support their habits. This must change!

We need help here. This problem is out of control and getting worse everyday.

We are expecting our first baby girl soon. I am hesitant to even visit local stores alone let alone with my new baby as they are surrounded by unstable people in need of mental health assistance. Transients are allowed to steal, do drugs all day and night leaving discarded needles in our parks, and threatening our community on a day to day basis with violence, disease, and littering our environment with zero consequence. It’s inhumane to leave these people out on the streets with no medical attention and care. Regardless if they want help or not, it’s not right for them to terrorize our neighborhoods while we pay exhorbant costs to live amongst them and be bullied by them. It’s a slap in the face to taxpayers and lawful citizens.
