I am a teacher and administrator at a Catholic school in Boston, MA. My nieces attend Transfiguration Academy and so I am signing this petition on their behalf. I think the petition raises very valid and valuable points and a fundraising campaign should be considered to keep the school open during this trying time. The board and the archdiocese owe the families, faculty and staff, at the very least, a virtual town hall explaining the decision.

Transfiguration Academy was an amazing and significant part of my children’s lives. It would be a terrible shame if it were to close. The nurturing environment is like no ther school . Please keep it open

Please reconsider. Both of my sons went to Transfiguration Academy/St. Johns school. You’re taking away catholic education from so many children. Wonderful teachers losing their jobs. Now more than ever these children need to be in this school. Please don’t close tgis school.

Closing this school at this time is the worst thing in this pandemic...Parents are working so hard to pay for a catholic education to maintain faith in their children as catholic... Closing this school in the community is like encouraging the people
in town not to have a catholic education as this is the only near catholic school in this town.... and this is a late notice for parents and the teachers as well....TA is a home for a lot of people here in the community.... This is something to be reconsider as it will affect a lot of students, parents and most especially administrators and teachers who will be losing their job...
The dedications that the teachers and administrators had put so much effort to maintain the integrity of the school and instilled the values to so many students and alumni.... This can have a big impact in the long run to the community and the people as well...

Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
The Lord will NEVER ABANDON his children and neither should the Catholic Church. I am a father of my daughter Annabella de Leon who would be attending Transfiguration Academy this year in the 6th grade. She has been a student there since Pre - K. This school is not only a place for academic education but a home for Gods children to learn, become, and to live by the faith of the Lord. What do we tell our children when the place they go to daily to their brothers and sisters of the Catholic faith is no more. My upbringing in the Catholic faith is strong because of my parents and I have passed this onto my children. I am a Registered Nurse for 23 years and I have survived the Covid pandemic because of my faith that God would carry me when I needed him and he did. Now is not the time or ever to give up on Gods children. This decision to close the Lords home would leave the Faculty, Parents, and above all the Children an indelible psychological and emotional scar. I implore the Archdiocese to reconsider this decision.
