Superintendent Bishop must be held accountable and taken to task for this lack of transparency.

Procure to pay cycle should follow best practices and be auditable, why are we so behind?

I worked for the DOD managing a Test Lab and had to provide detailed justification with purpose for any material purchases submitted to the required approval process. Why should any taxpayer funded organization be immune to providing details/justification of any purchase? We also have an Inventory Management System that shows the custodian and physical location of any item of substantial value, e.g., computers, monitors, curved HDTV's, etc. So, whose home is the CURVED flatscreen monitor/TV in?,

Why does this take a petition. I would think it would be routine.

And the reason the Superintendent allowed this in the first place, and now oversees it as common practice is?

The PO system is broken. Fix it in a way that auditors/cpa firms can work with.

Transparency is a must within the VCUSD! Let's collectively demand it for "purchase orders" and all dealings within the district and on all school sites.

Why does it have to be like pulling teeth to get public information? It makes everyone very suspicious.

Fixing Vallejo starts with the schools...Business will thrive if the schools are safe, and they have good teachers who are not afraid to discipline ..Transparency is extremely important so money is not wasted on supplies..How can this happen??? signed a Vallejo native
