Trafford council are trying to implement a new pay structure under the name of PARIS. Many people within Trafford Council have just recieved a new pay structure and terms and conditions which means that thousands of people will lose money from their wages. Others will have to work an extra 4 hours per week on top of their normal hours, plus an extra 239.25 hours within school holidays with no extra pay. Hundreds of people are affected by this, which could cause people to leave their jobs. Those affected mostly are the ones with young families who will have to pay for extra child care and travel with no increase in salary for the extra hours. Most people who work within S.E.N. will lose their S.E.N. allowances of upto thousands of pounds. My understanding is that the government want families to spend quality time together as so many are collapsing. This is just making it harder for us all. Please sign this petition so that we can show the council that we are willing to fight these ridiculous changes in order to survive. Thankyou for your continued support. Georgina Donnelly

October 15, 2008

Trafford Council is still hiding behind their PARIS scheme while families scramble to figure out how they will afford to keep their jobs. I have been spending my time documenting the devastating impact this will have on SEN staff and parents who are being forced into deeper poverty. They are banking on us giving up quietly but they have clearly underestimated how far we are willing to go to protect our livelihoods.

Trafford Council is finally starting to feel the heat from this movement. We are building the kind of pressure that makes it impossible for these bureaucrats to ignore the damage they are doing to our families.

239 hours for no extra pay is slave labor. Shame on them.

This is just robbery. Expecting people to work more for less money is a joke. Trafford council need to rethink this asap.

My wife works in SEN and she is devastated. These kids need consistency and the staff need to be paid fairly for the work they do.

How are we supposed to pay for childcare with these cuts?? Absolutely ridiculous.

Enough is enough. We juggle enough already without the council making it impossible to survive.

Unbelievable. Another pay cut under the guise of progress. Stop punishing the hard workers.
