The wardens are far too eager . I have seen them try to ticket people who are at the meter paying for a ticket ! It's ridiculous !

Retfords a lovely little town but with the parking attendants it's making it one of the worse places to shop now ! Times are hard enough without them making it harder if your cars slightly touching the white line ect get rid

Over recent months I have seen less people out shopping. There have been ample parking places which is not a good sign and an abundance of traffic wardens!

I now go to Gainsborough - free to park in Tesco for 3 hours and only 50p for 2 hours in Marshall's Yard. I very rarely go to Retford now because I'm not up for getting another parking ticket. Those wardens prowl like wild beats on the hunt and I've never known a town like it!

The traffic wardens are getting like vultures in retford. I witnessed one issusing a penalty notice to one car because the ticket was not straight !! I could not believe it !

get rid of unreasonable traffic wardens and employ some with a bit of common sense and compassion!

Some are very unfair and just wait for a innocent person to make a genuine mistake - such as the ticket blowing over when you shut the car door and then when you appeal it they basically tell you "not a chance, you still have to pay the fine!" - disgusting!

When I lived on station rd the traffic wardens gave me a ticket 10 metres from my house. I lost the appeal. It is ridiculous, some cars don't get tickets even though they are parked illegally.

Got me for taking stuff into charity shop in the parking bay outside Argos was 6 mins came out just as she was taking photo cheeky sod said sorry,think she had just finished at school a newby at the job

Common sense seems to have gone out the window with the current batch of traffic wardens in Retford. The tickets issued are detrimental to people shopping in Retford. Are the council waiting for even more shops to close down before they wake up and act!

Complete lack of common sense. They are predatory and are driving people away from the town. People should be encouraged to visit town. I got back to my car 3 minutes after my time after being stuck in Wilkos when the till broke while serving me. When I checked into it, the ticket had been written 1 minute after time and the first photograph taken 11 minutes before my ticket expired. There were plenty of free spaces so it is not like I was preventing anyone else from parking and causing anyone to lose a quid in revenue.

I see them prowling every time I park in Retford, I've become very anxious about making sure my ticket is the right way up, clearly displayed etc as I've had a ticket when my ticket was tucked to one side. Fines like this are simply cash cows and the detrimental to shopping in town centres.
