The intersection at Happy Valley Road and 47th Avenue is dangerous due to uncontrolled traffic flow. Drivers exiting the neighborhood encounter high-speed traffic in both directions, vehicles quickly changing lanes, bicycle lane traffic, blind spots caused by vehicles entering the neighborhood, etc. It is only a matter of time before a tragic right-angle or other type of collision occurs at this intersection. A traffic signal light is needed at Happy Valley Road and 47th Avenue to provide a safe and orderly movement of traffic.

Without a signal, this intersection will become much more dangerous.

Maybe this will help slow down those that think HV Rd. is a speedway.

Very dangerous left hand turn at 47th Avenue! A street light at this intersection is long overdue.

I work at Stetson Hills school which is near this area. Often coming and going I see accidents at these cross roads. Please consider a light at Happy Valley and 47th. There are many children and parents coming and going along this route.

I live at 55th Ave Happy Valley and understand the traffic, especially in the morning, and the problem they must experience each day

We have only lived in the area for 9 months but have found that trying to get out of our neighborhood or into is very dangerous and traffic just seems to get heavier and heavier.

Definitely need traffic signal at 47th Ave/Happy Vallley - and agree on needing to widen the narrow "suicide turn lane"

It is not only dangerous to turn out of 47th Av. or 49th Av. but also to turn into those 2 streets! I am also 100% certain the suicide lane/center lane is much narrower than it should be. When turning into the neighborhood our car barely fits in the center lane as cars zip by narrowly missing us. The “suicide lane” has its name for a reason and to live in our development we are doomed to use it! Happy Valley is being used like a Freeway because the city is allowing it. They have been “looking” at our traffic problem forever. (20years +) Been giving us empty promises! Maybe we have some more caring people in our city government now, who will do the right thing to help us. We sure need their help to stay safe!

Very dire situation for all concerned exiting and entering both 47th and 49th avenue. Cars on Happy Valley speed by as you sit in your car trying to enter the neighborhood, your vehicle is forcefully shook. A head on collision at those speeds will be horrific. We MUST have a safer way to enter and exit this neighborhood.

It would be nice if the turn lane off Happy Valley Rd. and 49th Ave. was wider also.
