Traffic Safety corrections needed on RT 9W in Palisades, NY

With so much development to the north of Rockland, this area and ALL of 9W should be evaluated. This state road goes through residential areas and there is too much commercial traffic.

This is the spot where my husband lost his life in a car crash. Please lets make this road safer.

If something isn't done to manage this traffic area, something horrible is going to happen and then we'll be full of regret.

As a local driver and cyclist riding on this route, these changes would certainly make for safer riding and driving conditions.

I travel this intersection every day S & N. The number of near-misses is frightening. Many, many try to go N around the right of cars turning left and add to that scores of bicyclist who patently ignore lanes and red lights.

I was involved in a fender bender accident at the light this year.

This a dangerous intersection and should be corrected asap. I remember the young boy that was killed when struck by a car several years ago. Let's correct it!

Any improvements that are made will be very helpful.

This request is critical and should be put into place before the end of this year. Safety is our main concern.

The increased traffic and the danger that it poses citizens of Palisades is we'll known. We must act ensure the safety of everyone in our community

I wholeheartedly agree with this critically important petition and I hope that these changes will be made as soon as possible, for the safety and benefit of our entire community and for the safety and benefit of everyone who drives, walks, or rides bicycles on our roads.

Pleasrr improve the safethh of travel through the Route 9W/Oak Tree Road corridor.

Wonderful effort to improve safety at that spot.

Not only9w, but there should be one continuous sidewalk from 9w to rt. 303. There are many near misses of pedestrians walking in the street.

This must be a priority!
