I'm seeing an awful lot of comments from people who don't live down the corridor and don't drive it daily. I moved to Bailey to get away from overly regulated intersections. I don't want to see anyone else hurt any more than the people asking for a solution, but I also don't want to see what will be called an improvement. Let's just use some common sense - head South to Shaffer's Crossing, cut under safely, and come up the other side when traffic is heavy. It's not rocket surgery! I will not sign this petition!

Keep the promise for no signal lights and spend the appropriate dollars for "fly over" at Kings Valley Drive. There are finally some businesses leasing the complex at that intersection, one of which is the US Forest Service. Let's see if another government agency being inconvenience will help expedite the long needed improvement at that corner.

I agree. There really needs to be traffic lights at this busy intersection.

Lived in KV for a number of years and it was always a doosie getting out of there!

I have family that live there and don't visit much cause can't turn in or get out half the time. You can't rely on decent people to let you in

To many lives have been lost & ruined due to no stop lights at this intersection. It needs to be a 4 way intersection with a complete set of lights. Not just blinking yellow and red but true signals.

I lived up in Kings Valley for years and I remember how tough it could be to the Northbound side especially when volume was high.... Seems a lot higher in general, now.

The Exit of Loaf-N-Jug in Conifer is horrible as well. Just an FYI for the next one.

Too many have died on highway 285. I've lived off this road for 27 years. Something needs to be done at Richmond Hill SB as well.

I believe this is a dangerous intersection and support making it a priority to fix.

Born and raised in the 285 corridor, for 34 years this area has been dangerous, but only continues to worsen with increased traffic.

I think the traffic signal is important

Every other dangerous intersection along 285 has a traffic light or an underpass. The traffic light will be the least acceptable solution. STUPID DRIVERS WILL ALWAYS BE AROUND, as will INEXPERIENCED DRIVERS; please find a way to protect us all!

Most of the problems come from stupid drivers

This intersection has been an extreme hazard since I lived on Conifer Mtn. beginning in 1986. There is no reason that it can't be made so that people can access the public highway safely. This same problem existed at Hwy.285 and Conifer Mtn. Rd. It took citizen involvement and deaths and serious injuries before the issue was resolved. This process is unacceptable!

So dangerous! I live off kings valley and during heavy traffic it's very scary. Especially if a semi truck is pulled off on the shoulder, (which happens a lot) then you can't even see on coming traffic.
