From Richmond hill to Shaffer's crossing needs to be widen, just like they have done from C470 to Richmond hill.

I just moved to the Kings Valley area and making any sort of turn from Kings Valley Drive onto 285 is just plain dangerous!! We need a stop light or something here!!

Too many people have either been hurt or lost their lives at that intersection for CDOT to continue to ignore the problem.

Traffic is a real problem I live in kV and most of the time it's very difficult getting out.

I think an intersection like Kennedy Gulch would be effective, traffic flow on 285 would not be interrupted and Kings Valley could merge on safely.

This is a very dangerous intersection where there have been multiple fatalities. It only gets worse when there is weekend/summer/holiday traffic.

How many more lives will be lost before CDOT takes action? There are relatively simple, cost-conscious measures that can be undertaken initially while this dangerous and very poorly designed intersection is studied and long-term solutions proposed.

Since moving to Kings Valley I have seen many close calls and many are younger drives just not thinking it through not to say I haven't seen adults get impatient as well but as a mother watching the younger drivers feel the pressure of people behind them and taking chances. I do hope we can get a solution that will benefit everyone.

We need to come together and find a solution. I've called this town my home my entire life . I've seen so many people moving here and not I'm sorry but alot of people don't know how to drive on our mountain roads. We need to make a change here. It will save lives.

How many more deaths are required at this intersection before people's lives begin to matter? I and my family have to deal with this intersection and I like to think their lives matter. Would the decision makers want their family deal with this intersection?

I live in Kings Valley and have seen or been in several close calls and delays due to traffic during rush hour times. Additionally, this intersection becomes more dangerous on the weekends with people unfamiliar with the road and intersection. Please take the time to study this to make a safer Intersection for all.
Thanks,
Andrew

As long as it's done intelligently. A traffic light at the end of a bottleneck will cause significantly worse traffic issues. A distinguished median for making northbound turns, proper acceleration, merge, and deceleration lanes would be appropriate.
It's funny. I always see the sheriff's monitoring the straight away north of Richmond hill. Maybe they should take a closer look at the cityiot's driving 70 through kings valley?

Very dangerous intersection that needs to be redesigned to handle increased volumes of traffic.

Kennedy Gulch and 285 used to be as dangerous; we were told that there had to have three fatalities before anything would be done. I hope they don't still have this miserable rule!
