I walk across this road everyday from school, it's a horrible crossing especially being by a hospital it should be safer small 11 year olds are expected to cross this walking home from school, it's dangerous, disappointing and disturbing to know that a boy has been knocked over. How has no one else had the same thing happen to them? It NEEDS to be looked at

A dangerous place to cross. I can never understand why safe crossing installations are not automatically built into plans when they go for planning permission and law they should be put in at the same time the road is built.

Definitely needs traffic lights as it is a very busy and dangerous road for children to cross on their way to and from school.

I'm an adult pedestrian and I hate crossing here too. I'm not very mobile and feel very vulnerable

I contacted the Highways dept back in 2011 for a crossing and this involved local councillors and local MP to no avail. We need a safe crossing at this junction before anyone else gets hurt.

As a parent of children who use this route daily to attend Nunnery Wood High School. I fully support the need for an additional crossing to be added to this junction.
I have never understood why there are pedestrian lights on each of the other exits, but on the exit which is the least accessible and the most dangerous to cross, we have to take our chances, or wait for a kindly driver to stop!
Unfortunately, it's taken a serious accident, to again highlight the need for a safe place for not only our children but the wider community to cross safely, rather than taking their chances with the traffic.

It is a miracle not more accidents have happened to date. I often witness drivers exceeding the speed limit. And it is about to get get even busier with all the developments planned and ongoing...

So many school children use this junction twice a day, you always see groups waiting patiently to cross but due to the speed and density of traffic it needs some sort of safe control for pedestrians.
