Traffic lights at a busy roundabout

I often cross the road here as I live around the corner. It's so dangerous, particularly as it's just after the road has changed from national speed limit to 30 so drivers are often exceeding the speed limit. This side of the roundabout is crossed by pedestrians more often than any other side but is the only side without a crossing. This needs to be rectified before other accidents occur.

A pedestrian cross is desperately required on the round about by the hospital. This is a very popular crossing area for residents of Warndon villages headed for the hospital or country woods. More importantly it's a busy crossing for children headed to/from Nunnery Wood High School. Been saying a pedestrian crossing is required here for years.

This is a very busy and dangerous roundabout. A safe crossing is very overdue, need to keep children and other pedestrians safe and avoid other accidents happening.

My Daughter also crosses at this island junction on the way to and from school with her friends and says how difficult it is and as a driver myself I find it's hard to see and maybe give way to pedestians when there are other cars around.

I also use this route to get to work and have witnessed a number of near misses both as a car user and pedestrian. I hope the young man is ok. The footpath and cycle path both cross at this junction so a properly controlled crossing is long overdue.

I used to cycle this route daily and had numerous near misses. My son now cycles this route and witnessed this. This is the only arm of the roundabout without signals and is clearly the most dangerous. Motorists accelerate around the corner to meet the national speed limit and don't indicate either. Let's not wait until there is an even more serious accident to do something.

It is acommonly used crossing place for children where they have no alternative crossing space. We don't want to have another child hit before getting these urgently needed traffic lights installed

I feel traffic lights should be put there it is a very busy road with school children coming from school, hospital workers and is used often for crossing the road. We have already have a boy who as been knocked down whilst riding home next could be a pedestrian or even an elderly person.

This is well overdue, such a dangerous road to cross. We are lucky no one has been killed here yet. Crossings installed in the wrong part of road. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use it.

As a parent and NWHS governor, I am more than supportive of this request. As has already been mentioned this is the responsibility of the Council, I would ask that you contact Andy Roberts and Lucy Hodgson on this matter. You may also contact the Warndon Parish council, Chairman Ray Morris. All details can be found online. Georgina Allen is correct, the council have deferred installing traffic lights, until the development by Land Securities of the fields to the East of the Hospital / South of Newtown Road go ahead. This is an indefensible position, the council have placed members of the public's, including school students, life's at risk over the profits of a private property developer. I know that the council have been approached on this subject many times, I myself have raised it with councillors personally. I am more than willing to assist in arranging any meeting that may be required on this matter, I can be contacted via the school.

Can't believe this is the first time someone has said something. This has been needed for a long time. Crossing lights put in already where they are not needed!!

This roundabout is very dangerous with drivers having very little consideration for pedestrians. Traffic control is in desperate need. I believe it's the responsibility of the council not the highways agency.
