This is ridiculous, our children should be fed a full nutritional mean, not a power snack!

Our students should receive more wholesome meals. Why because it's the right thing to do..and it's already a known fact some students don't always have the opportunity to come home to a meal. Our students should be provided with a better meal, to also boost their dignity. <3 proud of you guys who are standing up. Good job! I hope your voices get heard!

The students of Townview and all of DISD deserve better food. We must take a stand a fight for what we deserve.

Maybe this also should also go to the Food and Drug Commission whomever is responsible for actually setting the menus for public schools.

While I believe that tasty, nutritious school lunches are important, I do not believe that we have bad lunch quality at Townview. Whenever I eat a lunch from the cafeteria, I have a fresh salad (with fresh grilled chicken) with extra vegetables from the buffet-style salad bar. It tastes good, is fresh, and is highly nutritious. Every time. I often get a snack after school before orchestra (for free) from the lunch line. I get a green plastic box (just like was described in the petition text), with the exact same contents as described in the petition text. Peanut butter, fruit (in water), dried fruit, and nuts compose an extremely nutritious snack. Everything is low fat and tastes fresh. Every morning, before classes begin, I get a breakfast from one of the carts from the cafeteria. I get a yogurt parfait, milk, fresh fruit, and cereal. It is nutritious, tastes good, and is a great start to my day. As a member of Keep Townview Beautiful, I often take recycling and trash bags out to the dumpster. There is always a large box full of fresh fruit peels and tops from lunch that day. I appreciate that the cafeteria workers take the time to cut and peel fresh fruit for every student, every day. I am perfectly happy with the quality of meals provided to me at Townview, especially for free. They are always tasty, always nutritious, and there is always a fresh option with plenty of veggies. I will not sign this petition because I do not want for anyone to change the food that is offered to me. I enjoy what I have, and appreciate that I can conveniently get such high-quality food for free. I am very sorry that other people have had such negative experiences with Dallas ISD cafeterias. However, I feel that if as many students as have reported it here student had officially been diagnosed with food poisoning from Dallas ISD cafeterias, the CDC would've done an investigation and it would've been on the news. I'm sorry, but correlation does not

Graduated from JBS Law Magnet and I totally agree with this petiton! Although I'm no longer in school I have family and friends who still do. I don't want them to go what I went through all four years of high school. Which was deciding to go to vending machines, instead if the lunch line. My best of luck to this petition. I will continue to support until our goal has been reached!!!
