There should be NO reason to force home owners to tired into a sewer system if their current septic system is in compliance and is not causing any environmental impact. Plus $25k for the average tie in??? What a money grab and one more reason why people are leaving Coventry and also RI

In 1998 I lived in Warwick when they brought in sewers. The assessment was $4000.00 and $800 to connect. I had a 3 bedroom ranch with 100' frontage. You had the option to keep your septic or connect but still had to pay the assessment. Septic systems, by far, are cheaper to maintain. I now live in Coventry and find these fees outrageous. It's apparent that town councils and government officials no longer work for the people.

I live off of Arnold Road and contacted the town to see if I could actually tie in because I have a cesspool that needs to be replaced they told me they have no plans of running any sewer through my neighborhood but I can get on board with their Loan program ... which basically I pay them and have no say in anything that happens .. thanks anyway I will pay less and take care of it myself.

The costs are over double of what it should cost and the town should be looking for grants and offering perks to new businesses to lower the costs for residents of the town, as Amgen has done in the past. This project seems a bit crooked!

We need to get this out to as much of Coventry as possible. The first I heard it was coming my way was on FB. No one has contacted us about this. If you aren’t on the list to have yours done, imagine how much it will be by the time it gets to your area! Please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! All of Coventry needs to know about this!

Town gets a loan for 3% intetest charging us 6%...NO WAY...We own 2 homes in Coventry..I will sell both before I pay for something..we dont need
