I'm from Germany and a huge fan of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. They've done so much for ice dancing in Great Britain, and I think they absolutely deserve the knighthood.

I recently rediscovered takes on youtube and have learned how their careers have evolved. They have done so much for the sport as well as being international ambassadors for the UK!

They have won so many top competitions, more than some recent nominees. Also both are active in charitable works. Definitely worthy of being knighted.

They are the only Ice Dance Couple to get perfect scores at the olympics EVER and the are British. If it was today that would be knighted no questions.

Absolute national treasures. An outrage that they're not knighted. Changed figure skating forever and paved the way for British snowsport olympic athletes.

There will never be another ice dance couple like them. They made history and have inspired so many of all ages to take up skating. Truly deserving of a knighthood, which, I believe, is long overdue.

I'm amazed that Chris and Jayne have never been considered (?) for Knight/Damehood, considering the glory they brought to the UK with their artistry and skill.

These two wonderful people should receive a Knighthood/Damehood for their dedication to ice dance over so many years. They have given such pleasure to millions, and now as they retire should be recognised.
