Roads are for cars!

Cyclists want to share the road. License bikes so cyclists can share the cost.

Bike lanes along major road arteries do not make sense

Look at the traffic and gridlock. Then look at the stupid empty bike lanes. Please fix the problem.

The bike lane initiative has been a poorly thought out plan, major streets are congested with car traffic while bike lines are empty….this is not how a big city should operate.

The changes made to my street were premature and poorly executed.

Yonge St. north of Davenport up past St. Clair is a disaster. The build up of traffic from the intersection of Davenport and Avenue Rd is beyond terrible and sometimes has traffic backed up to as far as Yonge and Rosedale Valley Rd!

Bike lanes should only be approved after granular data verifies the lane. Further, they should not be dropped on main thoroughfares like Bloor, Danforth, Yonge nor University for obvious reasons.

I recommend bike lanes on residential streets. Keeps cyclists safer and pedestrians/school children safe from aggressive drivers contouring congested main arteries. Additionally, traffic control will be essential. Crossing Parkside on a green light during rush hour is precarious.

I think the major streets need to be open so our city keeps traffic moving, the bike lanes are great, lets put them on the less busy streets.

I am pro cycling and have been cycling in Toronto for 55 years. There are many great side streets that cyclists can use in the Bloor West and Kingsway and there is no need for 5 month a year bike lanes that will cause more traffic and idling car pollution.

Please do not put bike lanes on bloor west. We do NOT need more congestion in the area, polluting the air, forcing motorists on to side streets and endangering our children in the process. Bloor west has enough side streets and parks for cyclists. We simple do not need this and it is a gigantic waste of tax payer dollars when our homeless population and crime rates soar.

I support bike lanes but not in the current form. They need to be re assessed and designed. To better accommodate the neighborhood they are in.

I also bike but using a bike lane on a main road is like walking through a dump of hot garbage in the summer.

Bike lanes serve the minority and have wreaked havoc on major streets servicing the community and those that need to move through the city. The disruption is has caused on major arteries of the city has made it difficult for motorists, local businesses and pedestrians.

Bike lanes need to be thoroughly reviewed as they are imposing huge impact on safety and environment contrary to vocal groups that are supporing it. Existing bike lanes do not provide level of security for bikers nor to the rest of the population that are using roads for commuting and leisure.

We live in High Park area. Bicycle lines on Bloor W have been a disaster-they are used besides the bicycles, by: joggers, joggers w dogs, silent e-bikes, people in disability devices, snd all of them travelling/jogging etc. in all directions. It is dangerous and ridiculous. While the traffic is idling. Intersection Bloor W and Parkside is so complicated with so many traffic signs that I challenge police to take new drivers licence candidates to try and take a driver test there, and especially older drivers, unfortunately. This is failed project for majority and as such should be scrapped ASAP.
