I have been woken up and entertained by Tony Blackburn since 1965 when he was on Wonderful Radio London. Even later today I will be listening to him on Radio 2. The man is a true professional who seems to be over looked year after year. Let's put this right.. Knight him before it's too late!

Tony Blackburn is a well loved household name when it comes to radio broadcasting, I don’t understand why he hasn’t already had this knighthood! He is so well loved and deserves this for all he has contributed to the music industry .

Tony is like a dear friend who has been in my life since I was a teenager back in the wonderful 1960's. I think it is time he had some recognition for his work and for his traditionally terrible jokes!

Tony Blackman is the ultimate gentleman. He has been a remarkable ambassador for both broadcasting and Great Britain. If any person deserves a Knighthood it must be this gentleman.
