I just moved to Toms River from Jackson. Lakewood is a mess and Jackson is becoming one as well. Do not let what happened in Lakewood happen to Toms River. No person or religious group should be above the law.

This application must be denied. It is patently unfair to change a zone from residential when others have purchased their properties in a residential zone with the expectation it would remain residential.

This is a residential area. It should be kept that way. There are plenty of other areas where a school would be ok. The daytime traffic on Church Rd. is already unbearable with school busses and college trafic plus it being the only road from Silverton to rt. 9.

This home was purchased with a private home on it and is an R/C-3 zone -- a Conservation Residential Zone, which does not allow schools, according to Toms River’s zoning ordinances.
The owner IS running a religious school without zoning approval, and now wants the zoning changed, because they were caught and fined. Only after the fact,a re they now requesting the zoning be changed to their advantage.
The bottom line, the owners activity is unethical and with complete disregard and disrespect for the rules and regulations of our town.
Should we allow this zoning change be made, we would then be setting a precedent which will encourage similar activity within our town, which would be a determent to our quality of live, and have severe impact on our property values.
To allow this zoning change, would be completely unacceptable.

Being a previous resident of Lakewood, I can speak from experience that the orthodox community has learned to manipulate the American system of support. Once you allow a residential area to become a school, no taxes will be paid. The school will then develop into a dormitory, and the need for expansion will increase. Many of the homes exteriors are filthy and infestation of rodents are a common occurrence. Give them an inch and they take a mile before you realize it. You can't say we a blind to their ways when you have Lakewood as a neighbor.
Don't allow this or any other request. It doesn't have any thing to do with their religion, it has to do with how they destroy the American way.

No Jewish school in residential property please. How come government helps these guys sit home all day and pop out the kids left and right and get everything for free but we have to work hard day and night to be able to afford our house high house taxes and therefore they get a tax breaks.
