Zoning rules and regulations are there for a reason. The Zoning Board should not even hear this application. The owner was caught "with his hand in the cookie jar" and should not be rewarded for deception.

This homeowner was perfectly aware he did not have the proper zoning for a school on his residential property and the homeowner got caught and received a zoning violation for running this school out of his home illegally. This should a automatic rejection for a variance by the TR zoning board.

Toms River CANNOT afford to let this happen or we will become another Lakewood where the school bus service is overloaded and our taxes will be out of site even more now then ever. Stay Strong & please help the taxpayers of Toms River and do not give in to the Chabad House. We cannot carry anymore taxes for others.

Residential Zoning areas need to remain residential. There are empty commercial properties in Toms River available for rent or purchase that would fulfill the needs of a school.

Residential area should remain residential. Lack of tax revenue is a ver real concern.

This Toms River area should remain residential as the zoning laws require.

This situation is getting out of hand. This variance needs to be denied. More tax exempt properties is the last thing this town needs while it continues to recover from Sandy. This will make law abiding tax payers pay more and be forced out of the area. Stop this.

I live in the Adult Community across the street from where this is taking place and I would not like this to happen. Church road is already a very busy road and having a school built there would cause more congestion to the area. I would not like to see out area filled with waiting cars . Our community has a lot of old people who can't see or walk well and I feel it would be putting them in danger. Also with the increased traffic flow I feel it would bring down our house and property values.

I think u probably have enough comments. We should have done what the Brick Council did.No home can be a Church. People don't live n churches or schools.

Some of the comments here are bordering on being racist and should be considered offensive. Even though I am nonreligious, as corny as it may sound, I will defend to the death any peoples the freedom to practice their religion and not be persecuted in any way. However, this is not and should not be about religion. The issue is about how this was gone about, and the negative effects it will have on the community. Could anyone point out any positive effects? If there are any fines or back taxes on this property, and please correct me if there are not, then they should be paid in full with penalty, before this proposition should even be considered. Petitions by nature are one sided. I would like to hear arguments from those in favor, which I think would only reinforce my position to vehemently oppose this variance.

The Hasidims are the true racists, they want nothing to do with other people in the community. Trust that they have only their own interests in mind and will use whoever they have to in order to survive. Remember that every time a Hasidim cries anti-semitism.
