Not only should this stay residential, but they should NOT get a tax expempt, it will only open the door for many more so called 'schools' in Toms River.

I do not approve or like the fact that someone is trying to get out of paying taxes by making their house a school. They are unfairly using religion for their benefit. If we were to try this it would be disapproved immediately.

We pay enough taxes and we certainly do not need to pay any higher while others don't pay any! Can I open up a school in my house? Or a religious house of worship? So I will not pay any taxes?

The politicians are planning to sell out Toms River in the same manner that it was done in Lakewood. Put an end to it now. If you cherish your home and cherish this wonderful neighborhood we call North Toms River(North Dover) attend the meetings. If not, in a blink of an eye we will become South Lakewood. Private schools and houses of worship must not be allowed in residential neighborhoods. This will lead to issues such as courtesy busing that will suck the life blood out of our wonderful school system and eventually the town. Example - $22 million dollar transportation budget for a school system that had 5,000 students in its public school system. This was Lakewood.

There is a town hall meeting happening on Thursday the 22nd at the L. Manuel Hirshbond Meeting Room in the Toms River Township Municipal Building at 7:30pm. There is also a Neighborhood Watch forming and a meeting will be held at Toms River High School North Auditorium at 7pm on Monday the 26th. Mayor Kelehar, police, and township staff will be there to discuss zoning/building codes as well as other important issues that's will protect our town. I lived in Lakewood and saw what has happened to what was once a beautiful place to live. Please, we must all stand together to stop this. Show up, be a voice, make a difference. It's one thing to sign a petition but now we must take action together and stand as a group to keep this from happening.
