I am a resident of the North Dover section of Toms River, and vehemently oppose the variance sought by the owner of 2001 Church Road. First and foremost, the applicant fails to demonstrate the appropriate legal standard and the application is deficient in failing to propose the proper plans. Moreover, Permitting the property to operate as a religious school will have a crippling domino effect on the community. The issue of traffic on an already congested road is merely the tip of the iceberg. This rural residential area should remain rural residential, as the zoning laws require. Otherwise, each and every property owner will suffer in the form of raised taxes (to offset the lack of tax revenue from the already erroneously exempt property), and decreased property values. The neighboring properties need to know that their neighborhood will remain residential and the the appropriate zoning ordinances will be strictly enforced. The variance requested by the owners does not meet the standard under the law, and must be denied. I will be present at the meeting on the 22nd and intend to address our concerns.

A school absolutely can not be built in on a residential property. Additionally, according to tax records, this home pays no real estate taxes. Why is that?

I agree that there should be no variance granted, why should this one owner get permission to create something in a neighborhood that will not benefit them, only disturb them even further.

My street, Ferro Lane is off Church Road. I travel to Brick 2x a day and Church Road is already congested. Changing the zoning would be a mistake.

Why when I google this address does it already show up as a Chabad school on various sites and listings? Why is it advertising itself as such if this zoning law etc is pending? Who is acting on this?
