Tommy Ruble was a phenomenal Memphis musician who supported and promoted the city of Memphis and it's musicians for decades.He lent his voice to the Official city song of 1980 "Swinging Down in Memphis Town" and again with "One Last Bridge" in 1990. Tommy has appeared in numerous productions in Memphis as well. His voice is still heard today in the Midsouth in commercials promoting Memphis businesses.

im still reading all the stories you guys are dropping about hearing tommy play around town and they are honestly so heartwarming. im putting together a packet of these memories to show the folks who make the call on these music notes because your words really prove what he meant to memphis.

im honestly blown away by how much love is still out there for tommy. this momentum is proof that memphis remembers the people who really built its sound. lets keep this energy moving until we get that note on beale street for him.

He paid dues for many years in Memphis music.He won one of the 1st Blues award(called The Handys),Song of the year twice,Official City song twice as well.Many many more Accommodations,accomplishments and contributions to MEMPHIS AND THE CITY.THANK YOU
Mr. Ruble truly deserves the recognition. He was a true Memphis artist and both of his sons are very much a part of our music scene as well.
We need to honor our own!! The local talent, and there is a ton of local talent, does not get near the recognition they deserve. Let's change this!!
He deserves a Musical Note on historic Beale St... his sons carry on that legacy
I'm a 6 year veteran of Bartending and playing music on Beale. Mr. Ruble is a Memphis icon who deserves a note on Beale St!!!
