It is not that I am against the Palestinians having a state, rather I feel that they are not willing as of yet to live peacefully alongside Israel. I am convinced that they need to undergo a real and permanent change in how they view the jewish people and the state of Israel. Until they do there will be no progress or real peace.

This is only one half of why the Jewish people's claim to the land is so robust. Even if there were never a League of Nations, Balfour Mandate, or any British colony acting in the area after the defeat of the Turks in WW1, the rest of recorded history shows that not only did the Arabs never establish a sovereign and distinct state in the land, but they can only trace their presence in the area to the seventh century whereas the Jews established their first sovereign state (the Davidic Kingdom) 1600 years earlier. Coupled with the fact that the Jews never completely vacated the land and have a mountain of cultural, scriptural, and archeological proof to show it's centrality to the people (something the Arabs simply don't have) proves beyond any shadow of doubt that we are and have always been the aboriginals of the land. The Arabs (and the world's) insane deny and war on these facts make the Jewish claim to the land the world's longest and probably most unreasonably contested aboriginal land claim in history.
