With so many children growing up in Lyde Green we should be promoting healthy eating not burger & fries from McDonalds!

This is astonishing news. This will be a disaster for the people of Lyde Green as they are looking forward to live in an area where there are top standard health facilities rather than low grade unhealthy food. Please take this petition seriously.

This is not wanted at all. Emersons and Lyde are nice family orientated areas and will be ruined by a McDonalds. This will attract noise, pollution and anti social behaviour. The space should be utilised for a gym/cafe/farm shop to give it the villagey feel which was promoted by the developers. Go away McD you are not wanted here!

With two McDonald's less than a few miles away, I do not feel this is appropriate when the space could be utilised for more healthier family friendly activities.

Far too close to residential area. Increase traffic and ambiance of area.

I have just moved into Lyde Green and feel that a McDonald's would not fit in with the development or the area itself. There is already on close by and can be reached within 5/10 mins.

It would be much more in-fitting with the overall design of this estate to build a combined community center & cafe which could then become the community hub of the estate where workshops & groups could be run from to serve the community.

This is not in keeping with the overall design of Lyde Green and is completely unnecessary, as there are two other Mc Donalds with in short proximity. There are also very serious concerns with regards to anti social behaviour and heavy traffic in what is a family residential area. BIG NO! to these plans.

McDonalds says that they are want to work with local residents with regards to this development, yet even local councillors who are on the planning committee appear to have no knowledge of this planned development and the date for planning application comments is tomorrow!!!

The McDonald's at Longwell Green has caused nothing but trouble with cars skidding and causing a noise concern and young people gathering and fighting. This is not what we want here in lyde green. There is no need for a fast food restaurant. Open a coffee shop or farm shop selling local produce, much more like a village!

MAcdonalds is not required in the Emersons Green/Kyde Green area.

I strongly object to this proposal. This is not in the spirit of our community - we do not want to promote fast food for our children, we do not want to encourage traffic to stop and go leaving litter, we need more small independent shops to give balance to those already in place. Please re think this plan.

Not needed as anti social behaviour is bad enough as it is plus it doesn't match the village theme - create something better instead- create something healthy!
