To Stagecoach: stop huge bus fare rises for children in Exeter (keep £1 child add-ons) 2018

I would also like to add that the bus fare from Budleigh to Exmouth is a complete rip off its cheaper to go from Exmouth to exeter and back then Budleigh to Exmouth this needs to be changed!

Too many families with young children have a hard time to make ends meet. So, please help to fend this increase off

Fumming??? How do they expect kids to afford the bus each day? Send £30 each week???!! £160 a month? Gotta be joking????!!!!

This price change makes getting a taxi twice a day, the same as getting the bus twice a day! Driving people away from public transport in a nutshell- bonkers

Disgusting what about the impact on parents using the bus to get their children to school it will hit families.

It's disgusting the price hike for families who rely on the bus daily to get their kids to school or hospital appointments. I for one will only use the bus with my 6 year old daughter in an emergency, I think you will lose a lot of customers !!!!

I already pay a whopping £6.10 return from Budleigh to Exmouth (a 10 minutes journey) and the £1 add on for my 9yr old seemed to make it ok but now I seriously don’t know how I’m going to cope financially with having to get the bus at least 5 days a week. I don’t drive & this also doesn’t encourage the use of public transport for the people who do.

I currently spend £31 in bus travel for myself and children to get then to school with the increase I am looking at £62 a week and that's not even if I want to take them out over the weekend. How can this be deemed OK to do to families. Why is it a student can get a ticket for £90 but if I want to buy a term rider ticket for my 5 and 7 year olds I'd be looking at £226 per child. Disgusting. I should have known by the way stagecoach treat there staff they wouldn't treat their customers any better!!!

I think it is absolutely disgusting that when costs are rising and wages are not that we are penilised. Some people have to travel with children on the bus everyday and to triple the prices is awful. We travel by busses to cut congestion and travel costs it is day light robbery and the bus company should be ashamed

I use the bus twice a day with my 3 children at mo I spent 6.90 a day with the new prices it'll be £13 a day five days a week well we will walking from now on

This is ridiculous. Trains with a railcard are cheaper from Exeter to Newton Abbot. Will have to switch to trains now...

Absolutely outrageous...I will be walking everywhere now with my young daughter..having to pay £7 for a days travel instead of £4.90 is a rip off....the service's aren't reliable anyway...and some buses are dirty and smelly ....no thanks....I won't be using them anymore.

I will turn to train travel,as a none driver i am always on the bus with my children if this increase happens you will definatly loose customers as the train where i live is cheeper,so you really need to think about this and look after your customers.

I currently purchase a weekly megarider ticket for myself & I have a child that travels on an add-on ticket each day with me (Mon-Fri) The new price increase will mean that our fares will go up by £10 per week which will is now making me re-think the way we travel. I also have a child that travels to secondary Sch without me so I also purchase a weekly megarider ticket for that child. Stagecoach currently have a child day ticket but not a child weekly ticket.

I have always thought that school/college age children travelling alone should have an economical fare, and that the add-on fare of £1 when travelling with a fare paying adult was a fairer option. I am horrified to hear that Stagecoach is revising their fare scale upwards to such an extent. It will just encourage more cars to take to the polluted roads in Exeter

It's clearly all about the money for Stagecoach, so disappointing, we will be back to using the car
