To Stagecoach: stop huge bus fare rises for children in Exeter (keep £1 child add-ons) 2018

Absolutely ridiculous price jump... so for the parents who have to use the bus to get their children to school, it works out cheaper to buy a ADULT weekly ticket?? Makes no sense...

I have to get 2 buses to vranch house for my sons condition, the £1 add on was ideal as he can’t walk far so necessary to go by bus

This is an outrageous fare increase making an already expensive bus service extortionate.

This increase doesn’t encourage people to use public transport over cars... how is it environmentally friendly?

I think it's disgusting I use the bus with 4 kids in tow.. Can't do it now.. Just pure greed!!!!

This is a huge increase in fares, which will encourage people to use cars instead. It will also make transport more difficult for those on lower incomes.

I am a single parent of two children. Subsequently, we are a low income family. I don't drive and rely on the buses almost everyday. This price increase will vastly effect my little family.

This represents a huge proportional increase and, for our family of 2 adults and 2 children, it is now cheaper to drive and park in Exeter rather than get the bus.

The fares pre-increase are seen by many as prohibitive, and from my experience of using public transport in other towns/cities, are more expensive for a less regular service. The increase in child fares means those that have other options, are most likely to use other possibly less environmentally sound options, further contributing to congestion and pollution in the city. Increased income could be generated instead by encouraging the reluctant to use public transport.

£3 add on?! No!!!

Singing the petition as i think public transport should be encouraging more people to use it than to use cars and parking but for £7 a day for 1 child and adult to ise the bus is extortion...

It's not fair single parents are paying to much money to get the kids to school they still got bills to pay

I can't understand why it costs so much. I suspect you are one of the most expensive in the country and yet the government wants us to use public transport to ease congestion. It cheaper for me to drive and pay for parking

This is appalling now costing me £42 p/w to get myself to work and daughter to school... Instead of £20/25pw... It's now cheaper and quicker to get the train, but without the convenience of a bus stop.... And at least 50% of the peak customer use is the school /commuter run with our bus carrying children from newcourt to countess weir to isca to st Leonards. Absolute robbery. ... A 50% increase at least

Train will be quicker and not much more so will avoid bus

Please bring back the £1 add on in Newton Abbot. As a daily user of the busses with no car drivers in the family, I rely on busses. With 3 children the £1 add one were a life saver. Now, I have to buy child day riders which are more than twice the add on price.
