Single parents who are on a low income the £3.90 plus £1 is a lot cheaper. When I go out of town I pay £8 for a day explorer and £1 add on. Now I have to pay for a day Explorer and a child Explorer. If u do away wiv the £1 add on i will use the train instead

Please do remove the £1 child add on tickets. There removal will be a 200% increase in costs

If child fares go up living in Chudleigh I already spend £8 for a day pass paying more that £1 for my son is way too expensive.
Fares are already super expensive and if you up the price of child fares lots of people won't be able to afford to take the bus anymore.
You would lose a lot of custom.

How unfair a £2 increase in one hit. I am a single parent who catches the bus everywhere with my 6 year old daughter. We rely heavily on stagecoach as I do not own a car. I buy a weekly mega rider every week of the year and pay an additional £5 -£7 a week to take my daughter with me. Buses run late and no shows without any explanation if sought. I won't have my daughter giving up her seat if I am expected to pay £3 for her.

This is unaffordable for many families, who often have no other option but the bus. For us, I'm using buses a lot at the moment, weekly passes as I'm not as mobile as usual. I often spend the extra to be able to take the kids with me but £6 instead of £2 for just a day (usually just two journeys) is extortionate - that's £10 for the three of us. We could get to Plymouth and back by train for that price. It will work out better for us to take taxis when we need to, and I'm less likely to use the buses at all if I can't use my ticket to also travel with my family cheaply. The prices are already at the top end for such a poor service - buses often cancelled completely and chaos to timetables every time there is bad weather or the high street is busier than usual. This will be the final straw for us.

In a economy that is already making families struggle this is ridiculous! There should be things in place to help families get to school ect and this is what the £1 fare does! Take this away and it will impact greatly, come one stagecoach your a multil million pound company this is necessary

I don’t catch a bus. But sometimes on the odd occasion I will with my son. Not a chance with this absolute ridiculous fare increase!

This will increase my daily trip from £5.90 to almost £10 making it unmanageable. How can you encourage people to use public transport when you make the costs so high?

So we’re continually told not to drive into town then they put up the bus fares to deliberately target children.

The prices of bus travel is astronomical enough. Wages haven’t increased to cover these costs. This is going to have a huge impact on people getting their children to and from their places of education.

This fare increase is up 300% and so well above the inflation. It will put families off using your services as a taxi will be cheaper to get into town!

If this goes ahead it will make a huge impact financially on our family life. I rely on public transport to get my children to school and nursery within the same area. I will not be able to afford to carry on using the bus if this change is implenmented. It's already bad enough that the H bus route has been cut making it more difficult to get my eldest child to school and then back to the nursery for my youngest. Both totally ridiculous ideas!
