Why can’t they just increase the add on price by a bit rather than this huge hike in prices

I already feel that the fares charged are expensive for the service we receive. I don’t yet pay for my children but I felt safe in the knowledge that I would still be able to access free days out around the city for a minimal increase in fare once I do start paying for them. Simple things like a trip to the museum or a walk around the river will be out of my reach as I live within an extremely tight budget that is constantly being stretched. It’s just another example of a company who have the monopoly over a service taking advantage of its customers, who have no choice to change to an alternative service. I’ll have no choice but to travel by bus as I can’t afford to learn to drive, but we will have less days out as a result. Thanks stagecoach for scrapping a great incentive (also how is a 25% discount off an adult ticket a fair child price?!)

I have to travel to n from hospital constantly with my disabled son (who's apparently not disabled enough to warrant a bus pass) i struggle as it is with bus fare costs without them hiking them up any more!!

Stagecoach are extortionate as it is, this is just ridiculous, I think I'd rather buy a second car than continue with stagecoach

Getting to school To the doctor To relatives Please do not increase public transport fees. Buses should be free to reduce congestion in our city. Passes are already too high and this raise will negatively impact our families. Thank you.

Silly prices for a child...you wonder why people drive everywhere as its cheaper to park then get a bus now a days

This absolutely cannot be allowed to happen. The price for a child’s bus fayre for 36 weeks of the year will be £540, this is a 43% increase in price which the majority of families can’t afford to pay.

As a family of 5 without a car we rely on buses to get around. If they keep raising the bus prices I'm just going to get a car! It's not even like they are reliable and providing a good service for the money!

I always used the bus with my children when they were younger and it is such a shame the price is going up as it will mean a lot of families won't be able to afford to use the bus.
