Stagecoach need some competition. Families won't be able to afford these prices and the only passengers on the bus will be those with free passes . Is this what they want !

If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
There is no sense in this increase - the scrapping of a £1 add-on fare will have a huge knock-on effect on young people and families who wish to go into town and return home. It will just STOP those persons, CURRENT customers, from using the bus service completely! A total non-brainer. You need these people to use the bus services, not turn them away - and that is exactly what will happen if the £1 add-on is scrapped.
If Stagecoach really need the money, then perhaps look at scrapping the free bus pas scheme altogether and charge OAPS a £1 Dayrider instead? Treat everybody the same by charging everybody the same - no preferential treatment for some, no moaning by others.

This is day light robbery! My child is 6 years old. He doesn’t require the freedom a day rider offers! He is 6 and shouldn’t be travelling alone! #absolutejoke! Just another way of screwing over your customers!

This is daft it will just encourage more cars in and out of Exeter! Who can afford that, would be cheaper to pay to park

If you raise child prices. I for one will use my car and drive out of Exeter to do my shopping. I love Exeter but with car paring charges gone up and now this . You will kill Exeter.

Have to pay for a megarider to get my son to school every week... on low income... school holidays ... Cost so much ... !! Don’t want to not be able to go anywhere... £1 add on is a godsend if I have to buy a dayrider... plus parents taking their kids to school won’t pay and get their kids on for free by not paying... shooting them past or lying about their age ... drives me crazy and see it all the time ...

This is an extremely unreasonable increase in fares which are already very high for only short journeys

It already cost me £5 a week to get my Daughter to School and back. Now at the end of the month it will cost me another £10 a week. It’s not good!.

Awful if this happens. Very isolating for the poorer economies. How can a family afford this?

Bus fares went up not long ago. It's a joke not everyone is minted enough to buy a car. But if bus fares continue to rise everyone's going to end up buying a cheap run around car cause it will work out cheaper. What's bus company's gonna do then when no one uses them no more.

This rise is disgusting. It's bad enough that the Tories have placed such a curse on youngsters and struggling families. Stagecoach should definitely loose their taxpayer paid for bus lanes which curse drivers. How about Tory voting OAPs being means tested for their free bus passes?

Please don't do this, it will adversely affect many families.

I think it's terrible that we are encouraged to use public transport but public transport is going to become unaffordable to many people.

If this goes through I will need to stop taking the bus once my daughter turns 5 as it will be unaffordable. Currently I take it 2 or 3 times a week and buy dayrider each time.
