To Stagecoach: stop huge bus fare rises for children in Exeter (keep £1 child add-ons) 2018

We are being encouraged to use public transport rather than cars but this is hitting young families than cannot do anything else!

This is outrageous. How can Exeter City Council encourage people to use public transport instead of their cars with high bus fares like this? What about families on low incomes?

This underhand price increase will affect those least able to afford it and detrimental on the ability of families to get around.

Shocking - stagecoach in Exeter is already expensive enough. No more of my money will they get !

Absolute nonsense anyone with half a brain cell would make public transport CHEAPER than using a car?!?!

This will result in even more cars on road in rush hour as cheaper to take your car if you lucky enough to have one. People dont all live within walking distance of school allocated.It's disgraceful plus now dogs allowed to travel free!!! Where's the fairness in that. This doesn't affect me personally but I think it's disgusting.

Please, please do not change the £1 add on for kids. My son is autistic and his special interest is buses. We travel by bus several times a week, but with two children this would not be possible if the prices rise. This would devastate my son and really limits our opportunities as a family. Bus travel is so important around Exeter as the traffic congestion is so excessive. People concerned about pollution and the environment choose to travel by bus over travelling by car, but the proposed price increases would make this prohibitive for many families, including those with no other means of transport. Please, please reconsider. Thank you.

People should be encouraged to shop in town and support our own city, rather than shop on line or go to a different city.

If this change happened it would cost me £13 to take my kids to town for trips to the museum or uniform shopping, or a 1.5 hour round trip by foot; It would make it cheaper and easier to go to a different town by train.

Gutted by this. We live in the middle of nowhere so have to get buses everywhere and aren't in any dayrider zones. So will have to buy a child explorer every day we want to travel as we often use multiple buses, thats £5.50 every day we need to go somewhere on top of the £29 i already spend for an adult goldrider. I just cant afford it as a single working parent and my daughter will be gutted we have to drop the few after school activities she does do

This will be one more thing to make public transport unattractive. People will use their cars if they can afford one and poorer families and single parent families will struggle. Also, more cars in an already congested and polluted city.

Regular user on buses won't be able to afford it if child prices go up

Car park charges have gone up, whole areas are now permit parking and now public transport going up. How are people supposed to work. Our poor towns and cities are dying out. We are being encouraged not to use our vehicle, but to use public transport but it will not be cost effective. Bad decision.

Absolutely disgusting !!! I depend on the buses to get my son to school £7 a day trip absolutely outrageous

We only live 2 miles from Exeter city centre, a family in our area (2 adults, 2 children) would have to pay £14.00 to get into city centre and back!!! How can anyone think that's acceptable? Stagecoach have been bleeding Devon residents dry for too long, get rid off them #timeforchange #ripoffexeter
