Why do our children need to pay more to travel on public transport when children in London travel for free!! It's disgusting that we live so differently but live just 4 hours down the road. London wages are so much higher than our wages in the southwest. Our water rates are much higher and now there could be a rise in travel costs. Disgusting!!!!

I think it is a disgrace that you can charge and increase prices so much.I rely greatly on public transport as do not drive .
You want more people to use public transport but why charge so much , greed comes to mind !!!
When in London all children under the age of 10 who travel on public transport are free , why can’t that be the case in many other areas if not all ????
The fare for an adult is so high that it should cover the cost of a child being on board .
I do hope a much fairer solution can come out of this for the public who rely so much on the transport and not the greedy people who come up with these price hikes, usually the pen pushes sat in the office who have never traveled on a bus in there life and have there transport paid for so cost of travel has never bothered them .

How crazy, I drive and using the bus is a treat for my kids as it's already way to much and it's cheaper for me to drive. I would love to use the bus more but as we live in starcross we pay more than people in Exeter. You have already taken away park and ride from us as unless you are there first thing there are no car park space for us. If you want us to use public transport you need to make it cheaper and more will use it. Or like the train I get a rail card. Please think about what you are doing espeacily for those who dint have a chose about using public transport.

As a working non-driver with two children at school, this would mean a massive increase in our weekly bus fairs! Would work out cheaper for us to get taxis all week!

I pay enough for my monthly ticket plus £5 a week for my son's add on ticket to get him to school everyday!

As a single parent of 3 children I won’t be able to afford to use the buses and my children will not be able to get into Exeter with me if I need to if I have to pay for them all £3 each

It would cost £10 to get the children one way to school... As a single works out just as expensive. Might as well get a taxi... Much cheaper.

I currently have to buy an adult monthly ticket for my 13 yr old to get to school daily and as of September will have my 11 yr old son, who will need to get it back with her daily. I already feel that only an adult fare for my daughter and this seems unfair and then suddenly £1 a day will become £3 a day for my son too... it’s making it not worth my while to not drive them!

This would make my children's bus ride to school every day astronomical for me, I wouldn't be able to afford it. At present my teenager buys an adult dayrider with a child add on.This may result in them having to walk to town at least, which is a fair distance. At present they have two buses to catch from cowick lane to get to school on Topsham road. When they want less cars on the road and more people using public transport, surely you can see how this will have the opposite effect.

Ridiculous and unacceptable! Same as Torquay, it costs 2 adults £10 to just get to town and back from the willows, which is why we never go to town! Perhaps get rid of the bus pass for oaps and make it half price for them instead of free and then normal families could actually afford to go into town!
