To Stagecoach: stop huge bus fare rises for children in Exeter (keep £1 child add-ons) 2018

Absolutely happy to sign this petition. There will be so many parents that rely in this service to get their children to school. Terrible to even consider taking it away.

Please leave the 1£ tickets for kids

Using public transport should be encouraged. Making it too expensive is ludicrous.

A ridiculous increase. Talk about deterring families from using buses!

I am a single mum of 2, I don't drive and rely on the bus service most days to get my children to various clubs of an evening. It will bring the cost upto nearly £10 for an evening return trip,please don't get rid of the £1 on

We have been using the bus to leave the car at home as the bus is cheaper than parking for the day on the city centre. If the £1 add on is stopped then it will be far cheaper to drive in and park.

We need to be taking measures to encourage bus use and this will make it uneconomic to take the bus compared to driving.

Absolutely disgusting, the sooner a competitor is found the better.

PLEASE don’t introduce this! It will massively affect me and my children. We rely on the buses to get to school. An increase of the £1 ticket by 50p would. Be reasonable, but to increase it by 200% is far too steep and too sudden. I understand an increase may be necessary to support buses running, but as I said, this is too dear and will affect many families.

My self and my daughter (8) use the bus to get home from school and with child add on at £1 and a single is over £1 it’s a stupid idea

Keep the coat low for families otherwise they will stop using the bus.

Buses are expensive enough as it is, without these increases.

Disgraceful

Profiteering from children is both despicable and disgraceful. For many public transport is a lifeline. Perhaps it’s time we in Exeter invested in an alternative to Stagecoaches polluting, extortionate service.

If you are going to increase fares, increase them for those who can afford it. Your company will show a lack of social responsibility with this change and you will lose more customers than just parents.

With car park prices extortionate and you increasing fares, there will be no city centre

Rhus was such a good thing for families, adult bus fares are very high so at least this compensated for that - without it bus travel becomes ridiculous.

It needs to remain financially beneficial for families to use public transport rather than drive and park!
