To Stagecoach: stop huge bus fare rises for children in Exeter (keep £1 child add-ons) 2018

Disgusting to do this to families. Especially single parents!

This is ridiculous. We need a company to compete with stagecoach, that would make them have more affordable prices!

Terrible, bus fares are so high as it is, the £1 add on was so great for parents/families. This price increase is a joke!

We need more operating bus companies in Exeter council should scrap stage coach franchise. I will not use stage coach again.

Please reconsider keep £1 add on for kids in Plymouth. People will stop using Stagecoach and drive or worse still could switch to Citybus. Keep £1 fare and have more customers

One could be forgiven for thinking that there exists a political will to abolish public transport.

The huge mark up in price will have a punitive effect on families attempting to use the bus service.

I don't drive as I can't afford the cost of learning or a car. The bus is my only transport with my child. With the likely price increase it would mean I wouldn't be able to go out as much as would be far too costly

A protest against this should be staged - everybody against this should stand together - Exeter bus station protest. Take the kids and let their voices be heard too.

I think is shocking family find it hard to get enough money to feed and put a roof over their family heads. In London they had a child travel card that would last till 16 and the paid 5.00 and could travel most places even school holidays. Back a long . I knew of my son could travel to from school and out and about else were any time. West country could do with a travel card that has one cost so children can travel easier and it get stuck and parents would have a bit of faith in the government and bus service. Putting fair up is putting people that can't afford it at risk of not getting to where they may need to be I.e hospital appointments. ECT

The £1 add on is a great incentive to encourage people to use Stagecoach services and I think it will deter people if it is removed. For those dependent on bus services and on low incomes, this will cause financial hardship. The decision should most definitely be reconsidered. I would probably start using the train instead with my friends and family card.

My children previously used the week travel pass to get to and from school . As there is no child option that was £15 per week per child . I was then advised to use the £1 add on on school days as one of my children (both under 15 years old) was being classed as an adult . Abolishing this and the price increase would put my weekly spend from £20 to £32 .
