I honestly never thought I would be typing this but he is finally coming home. Everything felt so corrupt and impossible for such a long time but they actually listened for once. I am still shaking but we have to keep our eyes on the final paperwork just to be …
Jock Palfreeman, an Australia citizen, has been in Sofia Central Prison
for more than 5 years. Jock has literally hundreds of supporters worldwide.
Jock was sentenced to 20 years as the result of a
Bulgarian court trial which was marked by deceit, collusion, corruption
and fueled by pure vengeance. It was never even proven beyond a doubt
during his farcical trial that Jock Palfreeman is even guilty of the
crime he was charged with - a charge that implied he went out seeking to
kill Bulgarians! Witnesses either changed their stories mid trial, lied
outright or disappeared. Those impartial witnesses who backed up Jock's
version of events were not permitted to give evidence. Crucial evidence
was suppressed and CCTV footage which backed Jock's statement also
became "unavailable" and when it emerged it was viewed on a screen the
size of an A4 page in a room crowded with the prosecution and defense
teams and the parents of the defendant and the alleged victim. Even the
Chief Investigating Officer stated that she believed that the victim
Andrei Monov's death was an accident, but it seems that in Bulgaria
deals and decisions are made behind closed doors.
This

indicates that the Bulgarian officials are being unduly influenced, as
they have backflipped on what seemed like a "done deal", without even
notifying our official representative.
This unbearable
injustice has gone on long enough! It's time to step up the pace here.
Jock Palfreeman is in constant danger as long as he remains in
Bulgaria. Jock must be brought home before it's too late.
We, who have signed this
petition, implore that you as our Prime Minister personally intervene and secure Jock
Palfreeman the transfer he is asking for. PLEASE HELP JOCK.
We are getting so near to that first hundred and honestly it feels like the momentum is finally shifting because people are actually starting to talk about this mess in Bulgaria. I really need you all to grab the link and blast it out everywhere right now because that triple digit mark is what I need to show the office when I finally get through on the phone.

It is absolutely high time that the people we have entrusted with the roles of running this country and representing the interests and welfare of Australian citizens internationally step up and support Jock and his family and get him home. It is ludicrous that this situation has been allowed to play out in such an archaic, corrupt and morally bankrupt way.

True justice was not served for Jock. I am Bulgarian (living in US)and I know that. I can easily see what happened, knowing internal conflicts in the country. At least, bring Jock home

Release Jock Palfreeman, all he did was refuse to look the other way while grown men brutalised young boys on account of their ethnicity.

Having read the book 'Every Parent's Nightmare' I am shocked as to why the Bulgarian government can get away with such a sham of an investigation. They have no grounds to not transfer him :(

As both Bulgaria and Australia are signatories of the prisoner transfer scheme, Bulgaria's refusal should be challenged at the highest possible level.

This is a travesty of justice. Stand up Julie Bishop & bring this young Aussie home. I am disgusted & appealed by this so called Bulgarian Justice system. The rule of law is a farce
