What a ridiculous idea !! The people who have come up with this clearly don’t have a clue they should move to Mars they won’t be bothered by anyone, any animal and can live in solitude and be miserable!!!

Don’t take away the popular recreation of dog walking which brings much needed support to the Isle of Wight. We do not need yet more legislation either.

Why would they consider this to be a good idea? Probably because of the small majority of dog owners that dog clean up. We'll done

We walk on the beach nearly every day. Our dog is mainly off lead but always under control. If you have young children introduce them to a dog so they can enjoy the fun of dog ownership.

This is ridiculous- one of my mum’s and my favourite things about going on the beach is sitting back and watching the dogs play with each other. This feels like punishment to the dogs (who will not be able to enjoy so many places to exercise) and the vast majority of responsible dog owners because of the ignorance of some owners who can’t clean up after themselves.

This councillor who came up with this idea must be totally out of touch with the island.

My experience of dog walkers in our local cemetery is completely positive.

As a regular summer visitor by boat with my 2 dogs I am surprised and saddened by this. The island has always been so friendly towards dogs I think it is a frightful idea

As a dog owner and a visitor to the island I see this as a slight on responsible owners and their four legged companion

We need some decent places to walk our dogs, it looks like if the ban goes ahead, they'll be hardly any beaches etc of choice, there has to be a balance and i thought we already had that in place! Don't try and fix something that's not actually broke, is the case here....

Most animal/dog owners, are responsible people. Why ban them from having them with them, when visiting these places? The Councilneeds to have a re think!!
