I see no reason why dogs should,nt be aloud on the beaches and country side as long as they are controlled and the owners clear up after them

Ban dirty people who dont use bins leave rubbish ban parents who leave dirty/soiled nappies on beaches and ban the dirty dirty people who leave used condoms after there 5 minute passion session I've never seen dog waste on any beach but I have multiple times seen all the others on the isle of wight beaches.

This is ridiculous, all it's going to do is stop tourists who holiday with their dogs from going to IOW. That's not going to help the islands economy.

There beaches that's long enough to either split apart for dogs only....an what about the playgrounds that's in big fields ..again it can be shared ..why not do a field where dogs only ..

I visit the Isle of Wight as often as I can always with my dog. Always thought how lucky the residents are to live in such a lovely place. To ban dogs from public places doesn’t make the island quite so appealing.

I recently had a holiday in the Isle of Wight with my brother & his wife, and we took our dogs, it was really lovely to be able to go places with them and not be told they wasn’t aloud, We wouldn’t have gone if dogs wasn’t welcome

Banning dogs from these public areas is a ridiculous and mostly unenforceable idea. Locals and tourists want to enjoy our beautiful Island with their dogs. In the summer it is difficult to find a dog-friendly beach not teaming with other dogs. We should be going the other way and allowing dogs access to the beach in summer at quiet times such as before 9am and after 6pm.

I know a lot of friends come to the island because it’s a dog friendly place.If they bring this in then it be less people coming here.

Theres already a minimal amount of dog friendly beaches, would be a shame to lose more.. many of these places are frequent places I walk my dog and he loves them. As long as we continue to respect the areas we shouldn't be limited to leashes or bans altogether

I work within the tourism sector and this will have a strong negative affect on visitors to the island. Most visitors from September onwards book holidays with their dogs. The island is becoming more popular for winter breaks. The affect on the local tourist trade will be massive to small businesses who rely on the additional trade that visitors throughout the year bring.

Councils and tourist areas on the mainland go out of their way to make places dog friendly. Dogs have been shown to improve mental and physical health. This ban would alienate so many people
